Hi, I'm Peace! I am a beautiful little long haired double dapple Doxie girl. I am 8 months old and only 8lb. I am just a tiny thing!  I am super friendly and wiggley! I want to follow you all over and also curl up on the couch with you to snuggle. Every stranger is just a friend I have not met yet! I am a very happy girl and full of puppy fun!! I am also house and crate trained too. 
  Unfortunately, due to the people who bred me, I am deaf. Breeders should never breed doubel dapple Doxies together, because this is what can happen.  I don't let my hearing impairment get in my way of having a wondful fulfilling life though! I get around with no problem at all! Deaf dogs learn sign language very quickly and that is a great communication tool! We also respond very well to light. I go outside in the fenced yard at my foster home to go potty, and then they flicker the outside light when it is time to come back in! I have a human baby in my foster home that I love, and I am great with children. I need a home with kids old enough to know not to hold the outside doors open so I don't accidentally run out.
 I will need a home that can make sure I am always safe due to my disability. There is a huge support community for people who own deaf dogs. We all live very normal lives and most people who meet us do not even know we are deaf!

The breeds of our dogs and cats are a "best guess." We often do not know what mix they are and have to base it on what we think they look like, and base it on breeds often found in the area they came from. Most of our dogs who have gotten DNA tests done are 4-10 breeds mixed together. Because their breed mix is a guess we cannot guarantee a "full grown size" of many of our younger animals.

Happy Tails Rescue Minnesota is located at 7331 Baker St NE, Fridley MN 55432. We are open for adoption events from 12-5 every Sunday. If there is a certain animal you want to meet at one the events please fill out a preadoption application to directly contact their foster family or check our Facebook page to see if they will be there! Their event attendance is based on the availability of their foster family.

All of our cats and dogs are INDOOR pets and are NOT to be left outside unattended (even in a fenced yard), or running loose!
