HI, My name is Rascal. I am a cute fluffy little guy. I get along with other dogs and cats. I would do best in a home without children. People I do not know make me a little nervous. I am looking for my forever indoor family that is willing to work with me on my fear of strangers. I have been attending trainging classes and have been doing very well!!

Foster Update:
Hi! My name is Pee Wee (aka Rascal through happy tails vet records.) I’m a really cute Pomeranian mix dog! I’m only about 2 years old, and I have lots of energy. My foster Mom and Dad take me on walks, which I love! I can easily go 3 miles and sometimes we go for 4! I also enjoy running periodically during my walks and even with short legs I’m really quick! I love my foster home and am super snuggly and playful with my humans. I’m learning sit, stay, “chair” (which means sit on the kitchen chair and do not be underfoot when my humans are cooking) and come. I’m very good about coming back to my humans when they let me out in the yard. I love to play and I will be adopted with my stuffed piggy toy and a cute Halloween sweater that has a skull and crossbones on it! Arrrrrr!!! I’m also treat motivated and kennel trained- I love the chewies I get when my foster ‘rents have me “Kennel” when they go to work! I’m very happy in “my” space. I’m also great with the three resident cats, and I’m good with other dogs if they are well behaved. I’ve had a lot of change in my young life and I’m still learning how to adjust to strangers. I’ve been working on training with my human, but I still have opportunities for improvement. I’m looking for a forever family who is willing to work with me and continue my training so that my wonderful qualities can be fully embraced. I have warmed up to and even started to love neighbors and other humans who I am in regular contact with. (They have been known to give me treats.) I will completely love you and adore you if you can give me a calm, loving home, with a commitment to continued training. My foster parents love me very much and want me to find the perfect forever home, so consideration will be given to prior experience with training and special needs dogs. Please only apply if you agree that you can fully commit to providing Pee Wee with the support he needs to continue his transition into the perfect four legged friend. Note that a house with young children would not be an ideal fit for him at this time.

Rascal has been neutered, vaccinated, heartworm/lymes tested, health checked and microchipped

Adoption fee $250

The breeds of our dogs and cats are a "best guess." We often do not know what mix they are and have to base it on what we think they look like, and base it on breeds often found in the area they came from. Most of our dogs who have gotten DNA tests done are 4-10 breeds mixed together. Because their breed mix is a guess we cannot guarantee a "full grown size" of many of our younger animals.

Happy Tails Rescue Minnesota is located at 7331 Baker St NE, Fridley MN 55432. We are open for adoption events from 12-5 every Sunday. If there is a certain animal you want to meet at one the events please fill out a preadoption application to directly contact their foster family or check our Facebook page to see if they will be there! Their event attendance is based on the availability of their foster family.

All of our cats and dogs are INDOOR pets and are NOT to be left outside unattended (even in a fenced yard), or running loose!
